*How are classes structured?*
Classes will start with a good warm-up so your muscles can stretch and contract more fully increasing blood flow and jump start your metabolism. A good warm-up will increase your core body temperature, which leads to efficient calorie burning. With warmed muscles, you will be less likely to have fatigue-causing lactic acid buildup in your muscles. It will also help you burn glucose and fatty acids for energy, which is the fuel of choice when wanting to lose weight. The rest of the class will include a Cardio Kickboxing Circuit consisting of a combination of martial arts’ punches, kicks and strikes. We make sure that the punches, kicks, strikes and blocks are all done properly so as to use muscles in align with the body. Most classes will incorporate the use of an exercise ball, dumbbells, a step and practical application movements in self-defense situations. Each class is different so you are always challenging new muscles. All classes will end with a cool down and controlled breathing exercises.

*Do I need to be in good shape to get started?*
Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced participant our
classes are designed to offer a challenging workout at any fitness level
and age. Our staff makes sure you are using proper form and technique
while having fun and burning calories!

*What should I wear?*
Dress for success. Comfortable, breathable, supportive clothes are key
to exercise success. Wear light and cool clothing in the heat and
removable layers when there’s a chill in the air. *Clean tennis shoes*
that you do not wear outside. A proper fitting shoe will give you more
support.

*Do I need special equipment?*
* Bag gloves that protect the hand and wrist. We sell a selection of
gloves.
